Lecture
Dr. Uddin is an Associate Professor at Department of Informatics, Universitas Pembangunan
Jaya (UPJ), in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia. He received a PhD degree in Engineering
Cybernetics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway in 2016.
He has expertise in control system, system modeling, autonomous robot, artificial
intelligence, system dynamics, turbomachinery, flight control, internet of things (IoT),
hardware in loop simulation, and experimental test. He has published 36 Scopus-indexed
papers and with H-index 8. He has work experiences for more than 9 years in academics
and 4.5 years in industries. He received an outstanding-lecturer award of the provinces of
West Java and Banten in 2019. His research interest is in control systems, autonomous
robots, intelligent systems, IoT, and green energy

Dr. Ida Nurhaida, M.T., is a dedicated educator at Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. Her academic journey started with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Hasanuddin University in 1993. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue a Master's degree in the same field from the prestigious University of Indonesia in 2010. Driven by a desire to push the boundaries of her expertise, she embarked on a doctoral program in Computer Science, also at UI, and successfully earned her Ph.D. in 2016. During her Ph.D. research, Ida Nurhaida had the opportunity to visit the University of Reading, UK, where she engaged in academic discourse, conducted comprehensive research, and collaborated with experts in the field of Computer Vision Research Group (CVRG) to deepen her understanding of Batik Motif and its cultural significance from a computer vision perspective.
Beyond her role as an educator, Dr. Ida Nurhaida is a passionate researcher, specializing in areas such as computer vision, image processing, data science, and network computing. Her research endeavors strive to unravel the intricacies of these domains, seeking practical applications that positively impact academia and industry. She engaged in research collaborations with esteemed institutions worldwide, from public and private universities in Indonesia (UI, UNAIR, Poltekkes, Universitas Bakrie) to renowned institutions in the UK (University of Reading, University of Coventry, University College London) and Malaysia (Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, University of Technology Malaysia). The collaborative ventures span multinational companies such as Ernst & Young, JATIS, and Hyundai Mobil Indonesia, facilitating student internships and educational partnerships.
Ida Nurhaida and the team successfully obtained grants from Erasmus+ to establish a Cybersecurity Consortium comprising universities from both Europe and Asia, encompassing Spain, Croatia, Cyprus, Indonesia, India, and Nepal. This collaborative initiative aimed to advance cybersecurity education and research, fostering international cooperation and knowledge exchange among diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. On the other hand, she received grants from the British Council for a collaborative project focusing on gender equality in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Partnering with Cardiff Metropolitan University and Binus University, this initiative aimed to address and promote gender inclusivity within STEM fields through research, educational programs, and awareness campaigns.
